Baby & toddler

Baby products from China: the most demanding category — and the most loyal customers

Changing accessories, bibs, bottles, baby carriers, playpens, stroller accessories: parents forgive not a single quality defect — and reward tested safety with brand loyalty. We only import what we can secure to standard, and say openly what we advise against.

Why baby is the hardest category

Every product group has its own standard, every batch its testing duty — which is exactly what keeps low-cost competitors out.

A jungle of standards

Strollers EN 1888, cots EN 716, bottles EN 14350, soothers EN 1400, carriers EN 13209: we assign the correct standard to every article and have accredited labs test — before the first order.

Substances in mouth contact

Everything ends up in the mouth: plasticisers, bisphenols, nitrosamines in teats — the limits are the strictest in all product law. We test every batch, not just the first sample.

Mechanical safety

Finger entrapment points, small parts, strap strength, tip-over stability: the standards define test setups for these — we have them performed and keep reports surveillance-proof.

What we handle for baby retailers

Toy testing expertise included

Rattles, mobiles, teething rings: the EN 71 pipeline from our toy sourcing applies directly to baby toys — including saliva/sweat resistance.

Baby textiles to OEKO-TEX class 1

Bodysuits, bibs, bedding in the strictest OEKO-TEX product class, with verified certificate numbers and snap-fastener strength checks.

Standards & batch testing

Lab testing per product standard plus AQL visual inspection with baby-specific checkpoints (seams, edges, small parts) — documented per batch.

A baby brand with substance

Parents google test reports: a private label that discloses certificates wins the category — we build it with you, compliance dossier included.

Common questions about baby products

Which baby products do you import — and which not?

Well feasible: textiles, changing accessories, feeding accessories, baby toys, care organizers, stroller accessories — there, standards and testing are economically viable. Only with complete certification: carriers, playpens, high chairs. Not at all without a European approval structure: car seats (UN ECE R129) — their testing effort breaks any trading project. We do not spare you this sorting — it protects your business.

What do the standards tests roughly cost?

Rough guide per model: textiles from an OEKO-TEX factory often under €500, feeding accessories to EN 14350 about €1,500–3,000, complex products like carriers or playpens €3,000–8,000. The costs occur once per model and amortise over the series — we calculate them transparently into the unit price before you decide.

Why is the category worthwhile despite the effort?

Because the effort filters the competition: whoever holds the compliance dossier sells at 50–70 % gross margin to customers who seek quality instead of comparing prices — and who come back after the first child. Baby is the category where tested quality converts most directly into brand loyalty.
