Importing Furniture from China — from Container to Showroom
Home furniture, office furniture, hospitality and contract fittings: we check material and workmanship at the factory, secure the transit packaging and deliver full or mixed containers DDP to your warehouse.
Typical furniture import problems
Furniture forgives no carelessness — neither at the factory nor in the container.
Transit damage
Scratches, broken corners, torn covers: inadequate packaging makes 5–10% of a delivery unsellable — we test the packaging before series start.
Material not as ordered
"Solid wood" that is chipboard, thinner steel tube, weaker gas springs: material deviations are only caught by inspection at the factory.
Missing evidence for contract business
Fire classes, load standards and formaldehyde limits: without test reports, acceptance by contract clients fails.
How we secure your furniture import
Factories with the right production
Solid wood, upholstery, metal or mixed: we select factories by manufacturing depth and export experience — not by catalogue photos.
Material and load testing
Wood moisture, coating quality, seams, mechanism function tests and assembly trial — documented before container loading.
DDP container logistics
FCL or consolidated containers, loading supervision with a photo protocol and delivery to your dock — with an EU-compliant invoice.
Custom models & adaptations
Dimensional changes, your own fabrics, colours or complete new developments for your collection — including prototyping.

Common furniture import questions
Is importing below container size worth it?
Often yes: via consolidated containers (LCL) or combined loads of several products, furniture import works from a few cubic metres — per-piece freight rises but usually stays well below EU purchase prices.
How do you ensure assembly quality?
At final inspection we fully assemble random samples: fit, fittings, instructions and completeness of hardware packs — faults surface at the factory, not at your end customer.
What about formaldehyde and harmful substances?
EU limits apply to wood-based materials (incl. E1). Before you order, we clarify which evidence exists and, if needed, commission lab tests of the boards and coatings used.
