Where garden imports fail
The complaints come in August: faded, rusted, cracked. All three are testable before shipment.
UV & weathering
Poly rattan that gets brittle, textilene that fades, powder coating that rusts underneath: we specify UV stabilisation, verify with salt spray and weathering tests and freeze the reference sample.
Timber without origin evidence
The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) requires geolocation and due diligence evidence for timber products. We work with manufacturers that are FSC-certified and can supply the EUDR data — otherwise your goods stall in customs.
Grills & gas appliances
Gas grills and patio heaters fall under the EU Gas Appliances Regulation 2016/426 and need type examination by a notified body. We only buy from manufacturers with valid certificates — and verify the certificate numbers.

Common questions about garden products
What does the EUDR mean for wooden garden furniture?
The EU Deforestation Regulation obliges importers of timber products to file a due diligence statement with geolocation of the growing areas. In practice: the manufacturer must be able to document the supply chain down to the plantation. We work with FSC-certified factories whose data is EUDR-ready — and settle this before ordering, not at customs.
Can gas grills also be imported?
Yes, but only from manufacturers with an EU type examination certificate under Gas Appliances Regulation 2016/426 (notified body, four-digit number next to the CE mark). We verify the certificate directly with the issuing body — forged gas appliance papers are unfortunately common in this category. Without valid evidence: hands off, and we tell you so openly.
When do I need to order for the garden season?
Calculated backwards: sales launch in March, goods receipt in February, shipping December/January, production from October/November — so ordering and sample approval ideally in September/October. Those who inquire in January get leftover capacity and peak freight rates. We track the timeline with milestones.
