China import for NRW: Germany’s densest economy — with a direct line to China
Nowhere in Germany are more retailers, importers and Mittelstand companies based than between Rhine and Ruhr — and with Duisburg, the Silk Road literally ends at your door. We are your buying office in China: supplier search, audits, quality control and DDP delivery to your dock in NRW.
What slows NRW companies on China imports
Proximity to the port solves neither supplier risk nor quality questions — that requires presence at the other end.
Suppliers known only from catalogues
Between an Alibaba profile and the real factory often lie two trading tiers. We verify on site: registration, manufacturing depth, machine park — before the first deposit flows.
Quality only visible at the dock
When the container opens in Duisburg or Dortmund, it is too late. AQL inspection before shipment with photo reports — deviations get fixed in China, not claimed in NRW.
Customs & compliance on the side
EORI, tariff codes, CE documents, packaging law: in daily business this gets postponed — until market surveillance asks. We deliver the papers structured with every shipment.

Common questions from NRW
Rail via Duisburg or sea freight — which is better?
Rail: 18–22 days, roughly 30–50 % dearer than sea, ideal for deadline-bound or capital-intensive goods. Sea via Rotterdam/Antwerp with on-carriage to NRW: 35–40 days, the cost standard for volume. We calculate both routes per shipment — often a split makes sense: initial stock by rail, replenishment by sea.
Do you also work with companies outside the big cities?
Of course — typical cases are the tool dealer in the Sauerland, the furniture shipper from East Westphalia-Lippe, the metal shop on the Lower Rhine. Cooperation runs remotely plus delivery; for larger programs we visit in person, from Aachen to Minden.
What sets you apart from import service providers on the Lower Rhine?
Most providers around Duisburg are logistics companies: strong from the port onwards, blind before it. Our focus is the other end of the chain — supplier selection, audits, price negotiation in Chinese, quality control at the factory. Logistics is our final step, not our business model.
