Injection moulded parts from China: tooling, sampling, series — with clear mould ownership
We take your plastic part from tooling through sampling to series production: tolerances to DIN 16742, documented material batches and a tooling contract that unambiguously assigns the mould to you.
The three injection moulding traps
In injection moulding, almost everything is decided before the first shot: material, sampling discipline and the tooling contract.
Regrind instead of virgin material
Cheap quotes often calculate with regrind. We fix material type and producer (e.g. PA6 GF30, PC, ABS), require batch records and have lab counter-tests done where needed.
Endless sampling loops
Projects lose months between T1 sampling and series release. We structure the loops (T1, T2, …) with a dimensional report per trial and clear correction agreements.
Lock-in via the mould
If you cannot reclaim the tool, you negotiate every price increase from a hostage position. Our tooling contract governs ownership, marking and release.
What we take care of in injection moulding
Tooling with DFM review
Before cutting steel: design-for-manufacturing review of draft angles, wall thicknesses and gate position — so the mould is close to target on the first shot.
Sampling with dimensional report
Every sampling loop with a dimensional report against the drawing (tolerances to DIN 16742), colour matching to RAL/Pantone and function testing.
From part to product
Printing, assembly, packaging: on request we deliver not the moulded part but the finished product — compliance documentation included.
Series with AQL & DDP
Series batches with AQL sampling, RoHS/REACH documentation and DDP delivery to your warehouse — with an EU-compliant invoice.
How your moulding project runs
Send 3D data (STEP) and material preference — DFM feedback, tooling and part price within 5 working days.
Tooling contract with ownership clause; mould making with status reports.
Sampling (T1/T2) with dimensional report and colour samples — series release by you.
Series production with material batch records, AQL inspection and DDP delivery.
Common questions about moulding in China
What does an injection mould cost in China?
Typically 40–60 % below German price level for a comparable specification. The specification is what matters: number of cavities, mould steel (e.g. 1.2344), hot runner and guaranteed shot count belong in the quote — otherwise you are comparing apples with oranges.
What tolerances are achievable in injection moulding?
DIN 16742 is the reference: the achievable tolerance group depends on material, nominal size and mould concept. We define critical dimensions together and secure them through the sampling loops — blanket promises like “±0.01 mm in injection moulding” are not serious.
Who owns the mould — and what happens if I change suppliers?
You do. Ownership, marking on the mould, maintenance and the right of release are in the tooling contract; if you switch, we organise dismantling, transport and restart at the new moulder.
