Where bag imports go wrong
A bag always looks good in the photo — the return rate is decided by details you have to specify.
“PU leather” is a stretchy term
There is a world between 0.5 mm film and high-grade microfiber PU. We specify material, weight/thickness and backing — and freeze a hand sample as reference.
Hardware & zippers fail
The zipper is the most common return reason. We fix the zipper brand or quality class (e.g. YKK or a tested alternative) and test cycles and pull force on samples.
REACH substances in the material
Chromium VI in leather, PAHs in plastic handles, phthalates in coatings: all strictly limited. We test risk-based in the lab — always for leather and black plastic parts.

Common questions about bags from China
What minimums apply for own designs?
For adaptations of existing models (colour, logo, interior) often from 200–500 pieces per model. Fully custom patterns with new tooling (embossing dies, moulded parts) realistically start at 500–1,000 pieces. We tell you honestly per model where the line is — and suggest the ODM-adaptation middle path where sensible.
How is leather quality assured?
Genuine leather we specify by type (full grain, split), tanning and thickness; every batch is tested for chromium VI (3 mg/kg limit under REACH). For PU/microfiber we define backing, coating thickness and abrasion resistance. The hand sample stays frozen as the golden sample.
Can smaller retailers start with mixed ranges?
Yes — that is actually the norm: several models in smaller quantities, consolidated in one shipment. Via our consolidation you combine e.g. backpacks, belt bags and accessories from different factories in one container — one invoice, one delivery.
