Aluminium profiles from your own die, sheets, tubes, round and flat bar, plastic semi-finished products: we clarify material equivalence between GB and EN standards, secure EN 10204 certificates and check dimensions and surfaces before shipment.
The three raw material risks
With semi-finished products, quality is decided before shipment — afterwards every correction is expensive.
Material only “similar”
Chinese GB grades overlap with EN materials but are rarely identical. We check chemical composition and mechanical properties against your standard — via certificate, and on request via counter-testing in a German lab.
Dimensional and form tolerances
Straightness, twist, wall thickness: out-of-tolerance stock produces scrap on your saw or laser. We check against the applicable dimensional standard — e.g. EN 755 for aluminium profiles or EN 10219 for hollow sections.
Corrosion at sea
Six weeks of sea air without protection ruin bright surfaces. Seaworthy packaging with VCI film and desiccant is part of our specification — not left to chance.
What we take care of for semi-finished products
Buying from the mill, not the trader
Extrusion plants, rolling mills, drawing works: we buy directly from the mill — with batch traceability from the melt to the certificate.
Inspection before shipment
Dimensional checks, surface inspection, hardness or tensile tests as agreed — documented in a report per batch.
Customs & anti-dumping in view
Certain steel and aluminium products are subject to EU anti-dumping duties or safeguard quotas. We check the customs classification before you order — not at the border.
Cutting & preparation
Fixed lengths, saw cuts, deburred and bundled per your order — the mill supplies it the way your production picks it up.

Common questions about raw material from China
Do I get 3.1 certificates for material from China?
Yes. Mills issue 3.1 inspection certificates to EN 10204; for critical applications we add an independent counter-test in an accredited lab. Traceability is what matters: the heat number on certificate, bundle and delivery note must match — and we check that.
How do you handle anti-dumping duties?
Before every order we check the customs classification and whether anti-dumping, countervailing duties or safeguard quotas apply — for instance on certain aluminium extrusions. You receive the full-cost price including all duties; surprises at the border are ruled out.
Is raw material from China worthwhile versus EU distributors?
For standard grades ex stock, often not — we say so honestly. It gets interesting for aluminium profiles from your own die, special sizes, larger annual volumes and plastic semi-finished products. Rule of thumb: the more specific the product, the bigger the advantage.
