Castings and forgings from China: from raw part to ready-to-fit component
Aluminium die casting, sand and investment casting, drop forging: we qualify foundries with in-house machining, verify alloy, porosity and dimensional accuracy — and deliver ready-to-fit parts with material certification.
The three classic casting risks
Casting defects often show late — during machining, under pressure or in the field. We rule them out beforehand.
Porosity & shrinkage cavities
Pores often only appear during machining or leak testing. We agree the inspection scope up front: X-ray, leak test or micrograph — depending on the part’s function.
Wrong alloy
A GB alloy instead of EN AC-46000, grey iron instead of ductile iron: without equivalence checks and spectrographic analysis you only notice in the field. We require melt records and certificates to EN 10204.
Tooling without ownership
Whoever pays for the die or pattern owns it — with us that is in the contract, with marking on the tool and a documented right to reclaim it.
What we take care of for castings and forgings
Foundry audit before the order
Melting furnaces, moulding lines, spectrometers, heat treatment: we check on site whether the foundry meets your requirements — on the shop floor, not on paper.
First castings with inspection package
First articles checked against the drawing, on request with X-ray, hardness testing and spectrographic analysis — series release only after your approval.
Machining included
Functional faces, threads and fits are CNC-machined directly at the supplier — you receive ready-to-fit parts instead of raw castings.
Heavy-part logistics & DDP
Seaworthy packaging, correct customs tariff classification and DDP delivery to your dock — including pallet-loads of heavy parts.
How your casting project runs
Send a drawing or sample part — we assess castability, tooling cost and unit price with suitable foundries.
Tooling with sampling: first castings with dimensional report, spectrographic analysis and X-ray where required.
Series production with the agreed inspection plan — AQL final inspection before every shipment.
DDP delivery to your plant; the tooling remains your documented property.
Common questions about castings from China
Which casting processes do Chinese foundries cover?
Practically all of them: aluminium and zinc die casting, sand casting (grey and ductile iron), investment casting, gravity die casting and drop forging. The key is matching: we select the plant by process, batch size and required machining.
How is the alloy verified?
Before awarding the order we clarify equivalence between the Chinese GB grade and the EN designation (e.g. for AlSi9Cu3 / EN AC-46000). Every batch is checked by spectrographic analysis; you receive the record together with the EN 10204 type 2.2 or 3.1 certificate.
What does a die casting tool cost in China?
Depending on size and number of cavities, typically 30–60 % below German level. Important: the tool is contractually yours, gets marked and can be reclaimed if you change suppliers — we settle this before the first payment.
