China import for hospitality: contract quality at project prices — on time for opening
Chairs and tables for 120 covers, tableware for daily service, lighting for the concept, workwear for the team: with openings and renovations, one date decides everything. We source complete fit-outs in contract quality — consolidated in one delivery, timed to your opening day.
Where hospitality sourcing fails
Between concept rendering and opening day lie three risks — all three are manageable.
The opening does not wait
Rent is running, staff are hired, marketing is booked — only the chairs are stuck in customs. We plan backwards from opening day with buffers and deliver everything in one coordinated drop.
Fire safety in contract use
Upholstery and curtains in public spaces should be flame-retardant (upholstery e.g. to EN 1021, curtains B1 to DIN 4102). We specify the treatment and supply test evidence — before the inspector asks.
Reorderability forgotten
After two years you need six more chairs and four lampshades — and the model is “no longer available”. We document specifications and contractually secure reorderability, even in small quantities.
What we handle for restaurateurs
Contract furniture to concept
From moodboard or interior designer draft to seating: we find factories with contract references, test frames, upholstery and stackability — and deliver samples before series release.
Tableware & glassware for daily service
Edge-chip-resistant porcelain, tempered glassware, proof against commercial dishwashers: hospitality tableware is tested differently from consumer goods — food contact evidence included.
Workwear & table linen
Aprons, chef jackets, table linen with your logo: specified for industrial laundering (60–90 °C), embroidered or printed — consolidated in the same project.
One project, one delivery
Furniture, lighting, tableware and décor from eight factories, consolidated in one container, delivered on the agreed day — with one EU-compliant invoice.
How your fit-out project runs
Discuss concept, item list and opening date — we calculate the timeline backwards.
Samples of key items (chair, tableware, light) with test evidence — released by you.
Production in parallel across all factories; consolidation and full inspection at the warehouse.
Coordinated DDP delivery — picked by floor and room on request.
Common questions from hospitality
How much lead time does a complete fit-out need?
Realistically 4–5 months from concept to delivery: 2–4 weeks supplier selection and samples, 6–8 weeks production, 5–6 weeks sea freight plus customs and final distribution. Express options (partial air freight for critical items) can compress it to ~3 months — at noticeable margin cost. Asking early is the cheapest accelerator.
Is China worthwhile for smaller businesses (one restaurant, one café)?
From about 60–80 seats of initial fit-out: yes, clearly — typically 40–60 % below German contract dealers at the same contract grade. Below that, sea freight per chair gets expensive; then combining trades (lighting + tableware + textiles in the same container) or joining one of our consolidation projects makes more sense.
What about kitchen equipment and refrigeration?
For commercial kitchen technology (cooking suites, refrigeration, warewashing) we usually recommend European suppliers: local service, spare parts and warranty outweigh the price advantage, and gas/electrical installations need local acceptance. Neutral stainless furniture (work tables, shelving, sinks), however, we import regularly — there the difference is purely price.
