Common remanufacturing questions
Is remanufacturing legally permitted?
For your own maintenance, remanufacturing wear parts is generally permitted as long as no IP rights (patents, design rights) are infringed. In case of doubt, we check the IP situation before the project starts.
Which materials are possible?
Steel and stainless alloys, aluminium, brass, plastics and rubber-metal bonds; including hardening, coating and surface treatment. The material analysis of the used part provides the reference.
From what quantity does it pay off?
Machined parts often from 20–50 pieces, even below that at high OEM prices. Since the drawing belongs to you, the reverse engineering amortizes over every follow-up order.
